Up north, we were used to having our insurance company insure both our cars and homes. Here in Florida, most "big north" insurers are deathly afraid of hurricane risks. There is presently only 41 A-Rated Florida insurance companies that strictly specialize in homeowner's insurance - and they are not familiar names to most of us.
